  2. My grandfather actually fought in the Battle of Dien Bien Phu on the French side as a part of the Maghreb force, when he came back along with other Algerian soldiers telling the stories of French humiliation and incompetence this emboldened more and more people to push for Algerian Independence citing this exact battle, and that the unbeatable power that we built in our heads was actually beatable.

So this exact battle had a big impact on the de-colonization of Africa since France gave independence to all her African holding to concentrate it's power on Algeria only to loose it later anyway.

  3. Any other vietnamese descendant with a grandpa fighting in that battle? Im glad to have seen that video. Kind of reminded me of my grandpa telling his stories till he passed out. Sigh Childhood memories with grandparents.

  4. for the note: Yes the Soviet Union and China supported us Vietnamese with Katyusha artillery, they never actually came to a battle

  5. toilet history ..( change your title ) what you are reading ….is faked history …!!!
here is a real and true history of DBP..!!! SITDOWN…OPEN UR EARS AND PAY ATTENTION ….!!!
GIAP’, USED 6 Vietnamese divisions ….and over 1/2 million of civilians in supporting role….but….all 6 divisions and 1/2 million of civilians ….were completely destroyed by FRENCH FORCES….GIAP’ …DECIDED TO STOP THE ATTACK …and consulted with (ho chi minh )….ho chi minh… received the report from (giap’ ) he was so…fukg mad….and very disappointed ….then ho chi minh….went over China to see MAO… to ask him for help 🆘 …. and MAO AGREE TO HELP… (but he said to hochiminh nothing is free especially the blood of CHINA’S CITIZENS ) ho agree….!!!
MAO THEN….ORDERED 3 DIVISIONS OF RED ARMY CROSSBORDER IN Vietnamese uniforms …
and attacked the garrison …with just one pushed….the Chinese….took controlled of the garrison ….and handed over to giap’….army….
SO IT WAS CHINA… NOT Vietnamese defeated the French…. .!!! like the writing of…..many faked historians
that the real story…now you know …!!!

  6. Demonitized,eh?That'll learn 'ya!Why couldn't you have done a video about the cute lil' puppies and kittens of Dien Bien Phu?

  7. It’s funny, the Vietnam war was 100% avoidable because Ho Chi Mihn was a great admirer of the United States and often asked the US for aid for independence. The US, naturally, sided with its ally instead of following its ideals and lost a great opportunity to gain a sphere of influence in South East Asia. In turn, it gave the Soviets a great boon during the Cold War. While Vietnam would have been Communist for a short time, it is likely that due to proximity to the US and certain financial pressures it could have been persuaded to become democratic- and Ho chi Mihn would have loved it. American foreign policy after WW2 was weird. We often put dictators into power and declared war on democratically elected governments- none of which are actually taught in US schools until college.
