Cool… Gross and obnoxious but atleast he's doing something for the community of the game he loves.
WoW is purely driven by nostalgia, it is just a inferior boring game and engine. It just not a good game compared to what exists now. Games like ESO have just improved the MMO equation and fixed everything that was boring and stale about the traditional early MMO formula that WoW followed.

In all honesty, the reason people watch Vanilla WoW is cause its actually watchable unlike BFA. Nobody wants to see you farming islands and pulling 30 mobs solo in BFA, its boring af. Classic actually has challenge once you're past lvl 20 or so. You got a variety of zones to choose from with different mood and themes, dungeons some of which are half a world away from your starting zone. Classic is an adventure. The journey is what makes it awesome.
Plus, streamers like Asmon actually make it even more entertaining. Doesnt matter how silly or nonsensical the stuff is he makes, in the end he is an entertainer and you cant deny that.
